About Us

A calmer corner of the internet for everyday UK life

Cosy Friends started as a notes app full of small ideas that made weeknights and weekends feel better. Now it’s a blog for anyone who wants practical inspiration without the overwhelm.

Why Cosy Friends exists

Most lifestyle content either assumes you have a huge budget or turns every evening into a productivity project. We write for rented flats, shared houses, busy jobs and ordinary British weather — the kind of life where a better lamp, a ten-minute stretch or a no-fuss brunch with friends actually matters.

We’re based in Edinburgh and write with UK readers in mind: high-street shops you can actually visit, seasons that change quickly, and homes that aren’t always open-plan show homes.

What you’ll find here

  • Home & Living — tidy-ups, lighting, textiles and small upgrades that don’t need a renovation.
  • Wellbeing & Self-Care — gentle habits you can keep when the week gets loud.
  • Food & Entertaining — easy cooking and hosting that still feels special.
  • Hobbies & Leisure — low-pressure pastimes for evenings and free Saturdays.

How we write

Every article is meant to be usable the same week you read it. We test ideas in real homes, keep shopping lists short, and say when something isn’t worth the fuss. No “life-changing morning routine with seventeen steps” — just things that help the day feel a bit kinder.

Our promise

Useful first. Pretty second.

Photos matter, but so does honesty. If an idea needs three specialist tools or a whole afternoon, we’ll say so. If it works with a £10 high-street find and twenty minutes, we’ll celebrate that instead.
